  • Program does not scan

sorry to bother but I think there is some sort of issue.
I started tonfotos, added three folders as library and it started indexing, found some faces, etc..
I closed the program.
opened again, removed all the folders, add a new one
closed the program
opened again and everything is empty, is not importing the pictures and, maybe worst, under people I still see the old names.
nothing in map but under people yes
It’s a little messed up

      msavazzi When you delete images from the library, people do not get deleted, that is by design. If you wanthed to start fresh, then simplest way would be to uninstall the app and isntall it again. That will delete everything, incluing people.

          Andrey I uninstalled the program.
          Reinstalled
          quit
          installed cuda
          opened again
          but nothing happens
          no scan

          also is weird as when I launch it I find 4 processes but no window. I have to terminate the processes, launch again and it works

          I’m using latest version with CUDA Plugin

          I’ve tried to uninstall and reinstall, cancel all folders but still no solution.
          It deadlocks at first launch.
          then close them and then re open.
          Then it opens but no scan

              msavazzi How exactly did you unisntall? If you will just install on top, database and config will not be cleaned. It only gets deleted when you uninstall unsing control panel.

              Alternatively, you can delete C:/Users/(username)/AppData/roaming/tonfotos folder, it will have same effect. Next launch program will start as it is freshly installed.

                  1) uninstall from control panel.
                  Uninstalled tonfotos
                  Unistalled CUDA plugin

                  then reinstalled first tonfotos, quit, install cuda

                  2) uninstall from control panel.
                  Uninstalled tonfotos
                  Unistalled CUDA plugin
                  looked for folders under program files - removed
                  looked for folders under app data - removed

                  then reinstalled first tonfotos, quit, install cuda

                  still same issue, launch - deadlock - kill process - launch - ok
