      Metadata can be manually added to videos?.
      With the names of the people you have already added and classify the video with the person?

        Leocaselli Only few video formats support some kind of metadata (such as QuickTime), and even in that case this is more like general metadata (title, date and location), but no faces data.

        However, Tonfotos does not support editing metadata in videos at the moment.

          ‘tagging’ videos (works with images, too I think) is done with ‘sidecars’. It is basically a text file created next to the video:
          London.mp4
          London.mp4.xml

          The downside is a small extra file on the HD you have to take care of when renaming / moving files. The upside is that the original file doesn’t need to be edited / saved.

          You’ll need different software for that but I am not sure if suggesting competitors here is wanted, even if they are free.

          But compatibility / connectivity is why I came back here, too. I have a small and probably easy suggestion. The fave button is fun and fast but almost useless, because it only works in tonfotos and even TF doesn’t find them anymore if a file or folder is renamed. Maybe you can add the option to optionally also write the tag ‘TonfotosFaves’ or something to the images? This way I could also find them in other applications or easyly again in TF.

            Race2024 Guys, I do appreciate positng separate feature requests as separate topics. Otherwise it is very hard to find anything on the forum for other users. This discussion has diverged pretty far from tagging faces on videos already.

            Answering the question - nothing prevents from adding any tag to all files marked “favorites”, just select them all and then add a tag.

                Of course I can add the tag manually to the images in the fave album but I have to think about it when I am done. What I like about the fave button it the ‘one click and forget solution’ that is on almost all screens of TF.

                    Race2024 So why don’t you propose it as separate suggestion and then we will be able to see how many other users will support that idea?

                        Andrey I would love to have Face Scanning in Videos in the future, even though unfortunately it’s not currently planned. Since it doesn’t exist yet, I would like to be able to manually add videos into the personal albums. To do that, I’d like to temporarily view only the videos from my albums. Is it possible to set this filter?
