MelFish If I purchase the single user account, can I easily upgrade to the family account?
Family license is basically just a 5 personal licenses with big discount. There is no need to make sure all computers in your family are activated with the same license, they will be able to synchronise data just the same, even if they use different licenses. So, you don’t actually need to update your account, you can just buy more licenses. As many as you need. If you decide to buy in packs of 5, you will get good discount.
MelFish How do I move my pictures ( in a master folder ) to a network drive after I have loaded them all onto Tonfotos on my desktop.
There are multiple ways to do that. Most simple is, just move the folder, and then add new location to the Tonfotos library. It will scan files again and will pick up all marked people on the photos, as this data is stored in ini-files next to the images. MelFish Can I import new pictures from a USB stick and will the software identify and ignore duplicates
Typically when you insert USB stick, Tonfotos detects it and offers you to make import, and yes, duplicates can be automatically excluded (Windows only). Alternatively, you can temporarily add this USB to the library, index all files and then use “Copy to archive” function described by the link above.
