zincica Thank you for video explanation. So the way Picasa works is more similar to Tonfotos Filters functions. Tonfotos has both Search and Filters. Search is used to quickly jump to necessary item when you know what you are looking for. Such as person, or exact file name. However, if there are many matching items you need to use filters there you can combine different criteria. Picasa always in filter mode, but AFAIK it can’t combine several search criterias like, two people on the same photo, like Tonfotos does.
There are pros and cons forh both approaches. It was never our intention to make just another Picasa. But we want to make sure same tasks can be solved. If you can do something in Picasa you should be be able to do that in Tonfotos, but not necessarily the same way. And we continue developing our appication, there are still missing thing, like we don’t search yet by photo Caption, or can’t make filter by directory name. If there is specific task that is impossible or very difficult to achieve using current Tonfotos, please let us know, we are consider adding more funcitons to our search or filters.
