Manually add faces

It would be nice while I’m in People (where I spend about 95% of my time right now, in the app) to right-click on faces in the picture where the face was not automatically found by the face recognition algorithm (e.g., a face that is looking away from the camera). I would imagine that it may help speed things up for the algorithm.

Josh if you see picture in your archive, that means face detection is already finished. And if face was not found, that probably means it confidence was too low so algorithm decided it is probably a garbage. As far as I understand, what you really asking is to have a way to manually add faces by pointing them on the picture. Correct?

Andrey Yes. Sorry for the unfinished thought. I would like to tell the software that Kid B does exist in this picture even though it only found Kid A’s face. Again perhaps Kid B was looking away.

Further to this feature, it would be good if the bounding box was moveable to highlight other faces. Very often the algorithm finds an unknown face in the background but misses a known face

TPThelen, I guess the issue is that you did not open File Info panel. When it is closed, all you can do is just view and enjoy your photos. When you open it, all the faces functionality will appear, and it should be self evident from there - just right click into the face, and add it using context menu.

TPThelen yeah, you are right. That was my mistake, as admin on this forum I can see even deleted messages, but for some reason I did not pay attention to the fact that it was deleted 🙁
