Version 0.9.20-beta.1259 is already available for download for Windows, macOS and Linux platforms
Improvements
In this version, the main focus was on improving the user experience when working with face recognition. Some bugs have been fixed, performance of individual operations has been optimized.
Highlight faces on hover
Now the faces in the photo are highlighted not only when you hover over the portrait in the “File Info” section, but also on the photo itself. The person’s name is also displayed when hovering the mouse. You can also right-click to call the face context menu right on the photo itself.
Adding faces manually
There are situations when the program does not automatically add a face to a photo due to low confidence of its detection. Most often this happens when the face is too small, partially closed, or not upright. Now such faces can be forcibly added through the context menu by clicking on this face in the photo. However, you won’t be able to add a face where there isn’t one, or it’s so obscured that you can’t see the person’s eyes. You can also use this method to add back to the program the faces that were previously deleted as unnecessary
Offer fewer suggestion
The “suggest less candidates” feature works now even if too few faces are assigned to a person.
