cloclo > If you choose 16:9, the photos are duplicated in the iPhone’s folder on your PC. For example, you find IMG_0725.JPG and IMG_E0725.JPG. The first is in 4:3 and the second in 16:9. If you use TonFotosSync, I think the program can’t detect the correct photos. I used the USB port and I found all the photos, even the 4:3 and 16:9 ones. I have 12 photos (6 in 4:3 and 6 in 16:9) in TonFotos instead of the 6 in 16:9 visible on the iPhone. If I use Picasa 3 or FastStone Viewer, I get the same result as with TonFotos via USB.
This is very interesting observation, thank you. However, previously you shown the list of files, and there were no dupliucatge photos for same file like IMG_0725.JPG and IMG_E0725.JPG. Why is that? What is the difference? Previously you saw only this list of files but now you can see both E and not E files. What you are doing differently now?
It is true if there is original and edited copies of the file, like IMG_0725.JPG and IMG_E0725.JPG Tonfotos will only download original one (IMG_0725.JPG). The second one is just the same photo but cropped to fit 16:9. However, this behaviour is not actually Tonfotos feature, this is feature of Apple Photo Library. Tonfots uses its API (I gues just like any other program does) and this API returns only original file, leaving out all cropped versions.
Nevertheless, this does not explain why some of the files were completely missing from your backup. That would only explain why only one version on the same photo was copied.
