import from iPhone does not work

Herman

Awesome it works ! Thank you and have a nice weekend

Lenni

Hi, unfortunately I’m also having trouble importing photos from my iPhone. The import dialog just never even shows up. I’m using tonfotos 1.9.14 on MacOs and I am connecting an iPhone 15 Pro which immediately get’s recognised in the finder but never inside Tonfotos. iCloud for photos is turned off.
Maybe some security setting of MacOs prevents access?

Also I can’t find any import settings in the tonfotos menu, but maybe that’s just part of the same problem.

Andrey

Lenni I am afrraid, this funciton only works on Windows version. Sorry for that.

Lenni

Ok, thanks for the reply.

Andrey

Paco Cabrera As I replied above, this function is only supported on Windows, unfortunately. We are working on another way to import that will also work on macOS, but I cannot share any details yet, please stay tuned.

Paco Cabrera

Andrey Muchas gracias!

Andrey

cloclo Have tried TonfotosSync that we released not so long ago?

cloclo

Andrey

cloclo This sounds strange, no one reported anything like this before. Would you mind to record a video demonstrating this problem?

cloclo

Andrey

cloclo Thank you for screenshots. For video, you can upload it to any cloud and send us a link to support@tonfotos.com.

Based on the fact that mobile app shows that as separate files, it must be deskop app that considers some of files duplicate and therefore ignoring. Application uses both time and file names for filtering out duplicates. Can you please check exact create date and file names of files on your iPhone you took on 2026-07-20? Are they all different or there are similarities?

cloclo

IMG_0725.JPG 20/11/2026 17:59:31
IMG_0727.JPG 20/11/2026 17:59:38
IMG_0729.JPG 20/11/2026 18:00:45
IMG_0730.JPG 20/11/2026 18:00:49
IMG_0731.JPG 20/11/2026 18:00:56
IMG_0732.JPG 20/11/2026 18:01:11

Les 2 vidéos sont :
IMG-0724.MOV 17:58:40
IMG_0728.MOV 17:59:51

cloclo

Pardon je me suis trompé : les dates sont 20/07/2026 et pas 20/11/2026

Andrey

cloclo Thank you for clarification. This all is very very strange. After you are done copying, does TonfotosSync show you that there is no more files to backup even though it only copied few of them?

cloclo

Andrey

cloclo No that is not normal. In fact, there is no way program would rename your file like that. I cannot do that. Actually, everything you are experiencing does not look like what program would do. That is why this all is very strange.
