repeated name

Hello, I have started scanning, I have 120,000 files, some labels from PICASA, THE ISSUE IS THAT SOME NAMES appear 2 times or more… SOME WITH IDENTIFIED FACES, how can I solve this?
I REALLY LIKE THE SOFTWARE

I am just a Tonfotos user, not an employee. I had a similar issue a while back. I don’t know what caused this to happen but it wasn’t difficult to deal with. While in the People view, I found duplicates in the name list on the left side of the widow, I right clicked on one of the names and the pop-up menu had an option called Merge all Whomever. I clicked on this and the names were merged and all the images were also merged. A few times this didn’t work but after restarting the PC the next day and restarting Tonfotos the leftover duplicate names were gone. I hope this helps until someone from Tonfotos can give you advice.

E.s.e. This issue has to do with the way Picasa stores its data in picasa.ini files, and sometimes people names are inconsistent there. However, all you need to do is to merge people (using right click menu).

I see now. This option appears only when tere is more than one person with EXACTLY the same name. Though it looks like exact same, probably there are some additional spaces to one of them, or something of that nature. You can just edit one of the names to make sure they match exactly. Then this button will appear.
