How to add an image to the post?

I want to add a screenshot of the app when writing a post on this forum but when I clicked on the ‘Add image’ icon I get this piece of text: ![](https://)

What am I supposed to do next?

leonardoa the easiest way to add image to the post is just to copy and paste it.

When I was writing my suggestion threads a couple days ago, I noticed that I was unable to add images to the forum as well!
It’s not working for me to add an image with ctrl-v. Dragging one in does not work either.

Probably you are trying to copy it as a file. The trick is to copy it as an image. You need to open this file in file viewer and then copy, not just copy from a file from file explorer.

Nope, it’s not working when i use the “copy image” option in my browser.
I’ve also tried to use the “print key” and the windows snipping tool, and with both I was able to paste the image into MS Paint and MS Word without any issues.

But it’s not showing up here.

Maybe some permission thing after an forum software update?

adrianklein that is very odd. There were no recent updates on the forum, uptime is more than 100 days. What browser do you use? I use Chrome and as you can see in the post above - pasting image worked just fine for me.

hm that’s weird then!
I’ve tried both chrome and firefox just to make sure, but it’s not working on either.

Also i’ve just browsed some past threads, and I haven’t found any images in posts from other people.
All the screenshots they provided were done via external websites, at least back until april.

Ah the last image I see from a different user than you is from Jan 30th. So maybe sth. inbetween broke the image posting.

Yes just tried to post image from clipboard, nothing pasted in chrome

I ended up using the imgur site to upload my images and add the link in the post.

Shame on me. There were mistakes in forum settings. Fixed it. Please check if it works now.

(It felt like it was not working at first, so I logged out and back in to make sure - but maybe I just missed that it was uploading)
