Yes, I just noticed this weird thing too. In the Events left panel, I guess it’s fine it’s in reverse chronological order so the most recent events are shown at the top.
However, in the photos pane on the right, the pictures are sorted in that same reverse order, so the last picture you took at that event is shown first which is weird. It would be better if the photos themseves are sorted in the order they are taken.
