I had nearly completed the process of identifying faces in over 200,000 images and was really enjoying the ability to find people through searches in my main photo editor. It has ben wonderful! However, in order to speed up the editing process I have been making some changes to my hard drive storage. At the same time I also installed an update to my main editor (On1 PR 2025). Suddenly I was experiencing both Tonfotos and my editor hanging on launch. I managed to resolve the issue with the editor but I still couldn’t get Tonfotos to launch properly. When I tried to start the app the window would not appear. I tried starting as administrator and finally got the app window but it would not complete a full launch and, although I gave it all night, it was unresponsive. However, when I looked at processes in the Windows Task Manager it showed 5 active instances of Tonfotos. In desperation I uninstalled then reinstalled Tonfotos and it is working again. Unfortunately, it appears that I lost all my face ID work. I am hoping you can instruct me on how to retrieve the old face data so that I can resume where I left off. I am also not sure how to direct Tonfotos backup and cache locations. I apologize for the lengthy post but I wanted to make sure I gave you the full picture.
