Just got Tonfotos and love it. Thanks for building it!

One thing I do wonder: is there a way to search by people’s name (or any keyword)? My photo collections contain a sizable number of people. Back when I was using Picasa I would search by their name if I needed to find their photos. Not sure if this is already built, but I can’t seem to find it. Scrolling isn’t ideal in my use case.

Semi-related: to select the person from the dropdown is great when there are only a handful of people. In my case, I would prefer allowing me to type part of their names to narrow down the list then select.

Thank you!

    Hi,

Functionality hubert asked for is a really “must-have” for larger collections of photos.
I’m considering buying a license but I would like to ensure that this feature will come soon.

Would be also possible to add functionality of merging people from the list in case of doubled individuals?
I find “People” tab on the left to be too thin - in case of longer descriptions names are not visible. It would be cool if could change width of “People” tab.

Thanks a lot! Your software seems to be very promising!

      Hi Rymwid,

When you refer to hubert’s post. Are you requesting the functionality to search through the list in the “People” tab or for the ability to search names in the context menu when tagging images (Example shown here)

I second the request to add the ability to merge people but you should submit that idea as a new discussion in the forum (as a feature request) so Andrey can keep track of it and others can vote on it.

Jamie thank you for your feedback. This definitely helps prioritise this or that feature.

By the way, there is already function for merging people. But it only works if people have exactly the same name. So you may want to rename one of them first and then merge.
