@Ludwig Are you backing up your phone’s storage to the storage space that Tonfotos is indexing? I backup my phone (android) and some of the folders on the cellphone have folder names that begin with a period (dot). I know those folders originate from the phone.
If the folders and files are coming from your iPhone, try emptying trash on your phone and see what happens. It also depends if you are using separate synchronization software or if it’s something iPhone and Mac Book do automatically, if you have 2-way synchronization then what is deleted from your phone is also deleted from your laptop. I don’t know how iOS works, but if it’s one-way synchronization, if you delete from the phone it is not deleted from the laptop. That is how I have my Windows and android phone setup, one-way synch, my laptop retains everything even if I empty my phone. But that’s Android. and Windows. Your setup is iOS and probably a MacBook?
