Sort by date in events

I’d love to be able to globally sort by date on the Events screen or within each of the people sections in the People screen.

I am loving the ability to search for people across many different sources, but that makes the Events and People view look disorganized (sorted by source folder). Having an ability to sort those globally by date would be awesome.

Note that I cannot easily reorganize my data sources. Several of the are live and must stay separate (e.g. LrC catalogs, live cell phone camera roll backups…).

LaurentR Events are alredy sorted by date, as they are displayed on the timeline.

People’s faces are also sorted by date, except for new suggestions which are always at the beginning.

So probably there is some misunderstanding, please clarify

I may have hit a bug then.

My timeline (the left side of the Events tab) was not linear 2025>2001. Instead, it went 2025>2001 then back to 2025>2001 and one last time 2025>some intermediate year. I should have taken a screenshot but I thought that it was as intended, in the order of scanning.

Similarly, in the People tab, the order for each people was also this mostly-by-date order but going back to recent pics a couple of times.

Tonfotos had been working for several days non-stop and I had confirmes a few 10s of 1000s of people.

Now, I rebooted my machine yesterday, and, restarting tonfotos, the timeline seems perfectly in date order. Somehow, it heled itself. If it happens again, I’ll be happy to take some screenshots or help debug any issue.

Oh, I see. Few people have reported this bug also, but they could not even reproduce it again after restart of the app. That is why we are still unable to catch it and fix. Any information would be helpful.

That is because of wrong dates on your photos, I belive. We can’t do anything about that, but you can fix those dates with F3.
