Dear TazzyTazzy thank you for kind words!
Your feedback is very interesting. It looks like you are working with this feature not exactly as it was envisioned by me. The idea was that most of markup work will be done in faces view mode (not in the photo view). You just look at suggested faces, hover a mouse over it and there are three buttons - to accept, to deny and to delete face. So you just click thru it, or even select multiple faces and confirm/reject all at once. Very efficient, minimal amount of clicks. This way you can tag literally thousands of photos very fast.
Yes, marking faces while viewing full photo is also possible, but during faces markup this is mostly axuliary way, which is used to see the face in the context, when you cannot be 100% sure just by face itself. Or, this is used when you are not currenly in “mass markup mode” but you suddenly found a face you want to correct or mark right here.
However, you are trying to mark everything up from the photo view mode, I agree, this is not very efficient and requires a lot of extra clicks. It is just its meent to be done different way. Actualy, I think I will have to make educational video about that, as there are so many questions coming from users. For some stange reason something that is obvious to me does not seem too obvious to everyone else 😅
TazzyTazzy 1) When viewing a photo, have thumbnails across the top to quickly go to the next photo. Nearly every photo software does this. This way you can quickly go from photo to photo without having to exit the full view, select the next photo, etc etc. This would remove lots of tedious clicking.
I will have to think about it. However, it is not like you have to click back and return every time in Tonfotos. You can perfectly navigate to previous or next photo in the list by arrow keys, or by mouse. To do that by mouse you need to hover it to right or left side of image and scroll button will appear. No extra clicks are necessary.
2) After you confirm / deny a face and you exit the photo view, don’t scroll down. Keep the scroller/view pane in the spot you were at.
Yeah, agree, this is a bit annoying. There are reasons why this is done the way it is, so I will have to think about best way to do that.
TazzyTazzy Do you have a road map somewhere? How are feature requests/bugs tracked?
There is no public roadmap, though you are not the first to ask about it. The simplest answer is I am too lazy to mantain public roadmap… As to features requests, this forum is actually used for that very purpuse (for english speaking users at least). As you can see, there is separate tag for feature requests, as well as tag used to track ones that have already been closed. So you can easily see features that have been requested, my reactions to it. and which of them have been already implemented.
TazzyTazzy PS: This forum is the first time I’ve seen Flarum used ‘in the wild’, other than my Flarum install. hah
I am not big fan of outdated design of phpBB and similar stuff. Flarum looks so much better, in my opinion.
