Library on NAS (Linux)

I have all my photo library on a NAS, and when I want to connect it to tonfoto, I can’t select the right location. There are only local disks available.
What can I do?

Starssadar You need to mount your network library first so it will be available as regular file path, something like /mount/photo_library or something like this, depending on linux distribution.

I use Linux Mint. I read somewhere that I need to mount it but I have no idea how, it all seems a bit complicated. Well, I guess that’s the price to pay when you use Linux…

Yep, and this is just a beginning. Real fun starts when things are not working as they expected, guides are outdated, libraries are incompatible with each other… If you are looking for things to “just work”, then probably you have chosen wrong OS.

Oh, I am sure this is already there, and there are probably multiple ways to do that. I’m just afraid I am not Mint user, so I can’t help here, sorry

I found an easier solution. I will just buy a new SSD and copy all my photos on it!
Easier, much faster, and it never hurts to have an extra copy of the archives…
Can’t wait to finally test the software!
