Occasionally I get a situation where two People entries with the same name next to each other are stuck in some way. The top one is full of photos and fully accessible, but the one below it shows the suggestions !, but does not respond to any clicks, left or right. When I click the next one after that, it displays with the name at the top of the window, and I cannot scroll up. Normally I would expect to resolve all of the suggestions and then merge the two entries, but because the second entry is somehow locked, I can never do it. Sometimes, exiting Tonfotos and restarting solves the problem; sometimes not. Something somewhere is not right.

At the moment I have no clue as to what causes it. I would guess that I’ve seen it about 8 times, working quite a few hours with a large set of photos, over 50k, I’d guess. Is there an easy way to know how many photos and how many confirmed faces?

I will try to pay more attention. Could it relate to renaming a person to set up a merge? Or moving the last faces out of a person leaving it empty? I’ll have to watch those conditions and see if any others occur to me.

Error313 Thank you very much for sharing. By the way, Do you use several copies of Tonfotos to worj with this archive? Do you use any other photo management applications that can write faces and people data into metadata?

Hello Andrey, I have a family license of Tonfotos. So there are more computers/persons that work with the same archive. I do not have and other program in use or used to write face recognize data to the picture.

Is this causing the double names? for me it only happen with people that have setup and relation ship. The other persons do not appear double, till now.

I don’t know yet, unfortunately. At this stage I am just trying to collect as much relevant information as possible to be able to narrow down the search area, so we can fix it.

I’ve seen this also, although self-inflicted, and I’m sure is not the same reason for others. I’m posting this incase it helps to narrow down process flow that may have contributed. I use a family license on multiple systems sharing image folders from a local NAS. I renamed the NAS. A laptop with the application installed is quite slow. I did not want to take the time and have it rescanned. Thinking I was tricking the application I edited the config.json file with the new NAS name. It rescanned anyway and the result was the duplicate listings as described in this post. I ended up uninstall/reinstall from all systems and letting application rescan.

Thank you for your information. In my case have one time the database corrupted for unknown reason. I was recommended to reinstall. And I have an other pc with tonfoto installed. Also this computer get sometimes double names. Have not been editing any files. Just used the program like it is.

Now it only happen sometimes dat names are double.
