In my case I have 128gb of photos that primarily were later digitized so the metadata is grossly incorrect. Without many clues as to when they were taken I must apply some close-ish date to then determine by human eye pictures that were taken at the same event or even duplicates that are not close enough to get caught in a duplicate cleaner app. For example I have a series of random pictures scanned into the computer over lets say the span of a week. They all have the same created date, but some are from 1940 others from 1980. So you cherry pick some of the pictures you feel confident of the date and forget to click the box they don’t get lumped together. Then if you don’t realize you have done this until later you have to then refind pictures and try and recall what date you messed up …. In my life I can never see an instance that I care what timezone I was in, in 20 years it will be close enough.
