All photos uploading again?

Yesterday I found this program for my 86 year old mum. She really liked it. We uploaded over 8000 photos.
Today I wanted to work with her and show her how to make an album etc. When we opened the program it wants to upload ALL the photos again, which takes hours.
Thank you for letting me know what we need to do to avoid this. Is there something we have to save?

Program does not upload anything anywhere, it indexes your photos where they are. If photos remained there, program will just scan folders for changes during few seconds and will stop. However, it might be that not all your photos were actually indexed yesterday and program continues to index remanining images.

However, I might be not undertanding your question correctly. If you provide more detals it might help.

Thank you for your FAST reply. We have about 2 folders 2023, and 2024 with photos totally over 8000. Where is it best to keep the photos. Every time we open tonphotos, it starts to add the photos to the Tonsphoto app, but as there are so many it takes hours. We wanted to make albums for example she travels a lot. So make an album for her trip to Italy, Georgia, Thailand… etc.

We love that the pictures appear by date and with the location.

But cannot wait for hours everytime we want to visit the photos.

You should not. The idea is program indexes photos only once and then immediately shows you all of them once you open the application, it will only do quick scan for changes, but all images should be there right from the start.

If this is not what you experiencing, then something must be off. However, it is really hard to say what exactly, as I have no information whatsoever about your setup.

Do you store images on local drive? Can you please make a small video using your phone that shows what is happening with all the details? Then you can share in on goolge drive and send me a link to support@tonfotos.com I hope this way will be much easier for us to find a problem.
