Re-scan photo/folder for face recognize

It would be great to see new features like:

I can click on the folder and re-scan it for face recognition (there is enough to have such an option under the right-click context menu)
I can rescan photo, being in full-size preview, using a keyboard shortcut
I can rescan selected photo(s) in the folder preview (there is enough to have such an option under the right-click context menu)

This is exactly how it is implemented right now. It is called “re-index”. Works on singe file as well as on many. So to re-index folder you need to select all photos and do that.

I have folders/images where is has problem to find faces and they are quite easy to recognize.
I’ll try to debug to see why it happens and post here some more details.

Here is one more problem. I have a queue of new libraries to index, but instead of doing it, Tonfotos re-scans previous ones.
It would be perfect to have a parameter in the configuration that allows users to select re-scanning or indexing first.

GlikeG That is probably because the scanning of the previous library was not yet fully finished, so it is also still “new” to the program just like any other you are adding. When you select this folder in Libraries locations dialog does it tell that is is already indexed?

Some already have information about the last successful sync, but others don’t.
Moreover, the application doesn’t read status data from the previously processed folders, but by mistake - it was removed and re-added.

Is it possible to mark library folders with colours - green for indexed and up-to-date, orange for indexed and red for waiting for indexation?

GlikeG OK, let us first figure out the reason for this behaviour as this does not seem normal, specifically this part:

I guess this is the core reason. Program scans for changes and then it looks for the program that there were changes and it starts scanning changed files. In the normal situation it would just quickly scan within couple minutes that there are no changes and moved on with other tasks.

However, program would not just scan the same folders twice. Something actually had changed. Do you have any ideas what changed with your files/folders?
