Hello,
I have inherited a large number of family photos. Can Tonfoto help put them in chronological order based on the age progression of a person. For example I have a person whom I have 100’s of pictures of their first year of life and the “date modified” is just not at all right. so can tonfoto give me a timeline where I can at least get close?

Thanks!

smjacb Tonfotos can only rely on the information that is present in the file metadata. If it has wrong date (which is typically the case with scanned photos), it will take it for granted. There is no way it can know the real date when photo was actually made. Crystal ball does come as part of the deal 🙂

However, Tonfotos can help you to actually correct all dates for photos. You can use F3 to set proper date into photo metadata. You can use photo inscriptions, ask your relatives or deduce right date any other way and then correct it with Tonfotos. However Tonfots will not be able to that instead of you, sorry.

Thanks for the reply. I am imploring all these ideas already. I was just hoping if I gave the program a set of photos could it organize them by a single persons age progression. It clearly can determine one baby from another, it can pick out the same person regardless of age. Can it spit them back to me youngest to oldest. Just a thought. I only have 40,000 pics to redate 🙂 looking for any help ..

smjacb I understand. According to my quick research, available age detection technologies by photo are pretty inaccurate.
