Hi,
I will give this nice app a try.
For me the face recognition is important.

I installed it on my Fedora Linux laptop and my photos are located on a ftp share over network.
In my file browser I have access to this ftp share and I can browse all my photos.

Tonfoto has scanned the folder and is finnished. The folders can be seen on the left but I cannot open them to see the photos inside.
Tryed it again with less files but the behavior is the same.
I have jpgs saved - so it should not be a format problem.

In Tonfotos the filesize of this folder is 0 kb.

Is it bug or am I wrong with my setup?

Regards Tobbes

tobbes The thing with Linux is that there are so many flavours of it so it is just impossible to support all of them. Tonfotos does SOME support for Linux networking, but definitly far from enough. It will not not mount folder automatically using your file manager as it ideally should.

My suggestion would be to avoid using anything distribution-specific and just mount your drive to your file system using regular mount. This way it would look just like regular local file folder for Tonfotos and it should just work.

    Thanks for your comment.
I mount it the regular way via fstab:
    curlftpfs#192.168.178.26 /media/ftpshare fuse allow_other,uid=1000,gid=1000,umask=0022 0 0

But tonfoto does not find any photo for its library.
A local copy of one folder is working.

Is there another hint for me? I don’t want to work with a local copy of all my photos ..

    Regards Tobbes

tobbes when you enter this folder from terminal and type ls do you see those files?
