When I am tagging faces in the People section, I noticed a lot of my kid’s baby photos are incorrectly suggested. Can you make it where the face recognition searches file dates as well? E.g., my much older daughter is being recognized as it’s actually my sons in the photos. If the dates I took the photos were used, it would know that a child’s “baby face” would not be my older daughter, because the dates would align with other tagged photos of my sons in their baby-face stage. I understand this metric is not 100% accurate if the camera’s time is off, but hopefully, the algorithm would know based on similar photos within the same folder, etc. Hope that makes sense.

As for the algorithm, would it be better to press “This is not Kid A” (my older daughter) vs saying that “This is Kid B”?

Josh, great minds think alike! Using date as important feature in faces classification is on the top of the list of ideas how to improve classification of baby faces. Unfortunately, baby faces is the weak spot of our AI currently, it deals much better with adults than with kids. We are working on several ideas for improvement, in this is definitely one of most promising. Unfortunately, anything that is connected with AI improvement takes lots of time, so I ask you to bear with us please. It will come in future releases.

Think the date aligning option is really smart process.

Also an option for not being able to tag a face twice. So if Kid A is already tagged, unlikely the next kid to be Kid A also.

This is already implemented long ago. Face will be never suggested if there is already same person on the photo.

Photo date is already used as one of the features during classification for quite a while already.
