During initial setup, is there a way to “turn off” or “opt out” of the scanning process?
Can one incrementally add folders to database rather than all at one time so that indexing doesn’t take so long?
How are subfolders handled?
Once scanned, will only new or modified photos need to be indexed ongoing?
Indexing photos
Thanks for your response, however, I am “burned out” from the whole scanning process required. It is the main reason that I am looking for something to replace Apple photo library.

Beautiful interface by Tonfotos. I thought I had found the definitive program for my photos but unfortunately it doesn’t work. Since this morning at 9:00 am I have been waiting for 8 hours to upload the photos. It only loaded the images folder. Tonfoto asked me to index and upload another archive but it doesn’t go ahead. Sin. I liked it and would have also purchased it. Doesn’t work on my Windows 11 home. x64 and 8 gigs of ram.

I am sorry. I have already uninstalled the program. 8 hours of waiting was a lot. My explanation was very clear: Tonfotos asks me where to import the photos from. Inside Tonfotos the dialog box appears with the name of the folder to be imported. I say OK and the program remains stopped. However, the same operation works with the Images folder. The folder that is not imported and where I have all my photos is on an external hard disk and that is not in the same directory as the Tonfotos program.
