Reinstalling Tonfotos after OS failure

Sooner or later we will all experience an operating system failure (Windows 10 in my case). I have fixed that and am in the process of reinstalling software. All of my photos were on a separate drive from the OS drive. Is there a way of having Tonfotos use the hours of face linking already done? I presume the Tonfotos data is still on my photos drive? I would hate to start over again.

If you have a process for me to follow, please let me know.

RickM Tonfotos stores information about people not only in its internal database, but also in ini files next to photos. So unless your drive was mounted in read-only mode, all people will be perfectly restored when you install Tonfotos again and scann all your photos.

exactly the same happens to me right now, but:

just is not true, tons of information missing especially faces

mc64 Sorry to hear about that. This literally worked flawlessly hundreds times before, it is very suprising to hear you encountered some issues. I replied to you in separate thread with more details.

RickM You can just activate it again using same serial number. Just look for “Activate…” in the main menu. In case of any issues with activation please write me to support@tonfotos.com and please mention your serial number, I will then check the status on the server.
