Andrey Feature request for a future version? Change title or comment for multiple photos?

Mike For the future, please submit feature requests as separate threads so we can have meaningfull conversation.

I have question about your idea though. Unlike tags, title and the comment are supposed to be unique for each photo. Can you please describe the situation when you think will be appropriate to add same title or comment to multiple photos at once?

If you scan photo’s, or photograph them and have thousands of files, you want to make then searchable, since the exif info is incorrect. removing the exif and adding titles or comments to those scanned files makes then immediatelty available for search and so if you are looking for something you can type and not click through the mess of folders.

    Regards, Mike

Mike Sure, but still, are you planning on making same title to all of your photos? Doesn’t it contradicts the idea of making them searchable?

You might be right if you compare it to tags/albums, still I would like to give batches of fotos the same title of comment. I can save a lot of time if this was possible. But hey.

Mike Ok, thank you for explanations. We still need to make sure this is something that is going to be used by many users. Let’s see if other users will chip in.

          Well, I do :-)
When you take a dozen pictures of the exact same thing, like birthday family pictures, with all same people in the same position, more or less, there is really no way and no need to find distinct titles except by appending a distinct number to the same title.

alexf Adding a number to the title makes this a slightly different feature than initially discussed, I guess.

Andrey that was not a request or a suggestion, only the only solution I could imagine if you wanted to keep distinct title for each photos. But I’d rather juste be able to batch assign the same title to multiple photos. Plain and simple :-)
