  • App freezing while moving to Archive

One folder I want to move to Archive, which contains something around 3500 items, and the size is 120Gb nothing special I’d say, but the SW it’s just not doing anything, other folders are moved without an issue. So, in this case it’s just indexing some other files, but everything else is just gray, the progress line is not moving just saying Please wait. there is nothing special in the folder, what could be the reason? Would you need the logs(I assume yes, I will provide when I get back home)?

P.S. Every time I use it, I find some new function I like, very good software, thank you for your efforts, I think I will buy it, after trying a bit more. I’d love to support this project. You should promote it more, for example found it in Reddit comments, a lot of people now with iPhones need this kind of an organizing app, which is simple and handy the same time!!

Here what happens, I tried again when there is no index process going, sw is showing a “Ready” status, still it’s not moving this one folder…

Dear Andrey, I don’t know what I was doing wrong, but now it worked partially. I first was choosing the folder on the left side, did a right click on it, in the menu chose “move to the Main Archive”, nothing was happening, but then I did select all in this folder and moved the selected ones, this way it worked, but only partially, then it stopped again when 270 photos left in the folder…

Sorry for so many messages, I understood what is not moved and sorted out, it does moving, copying, but it stucks with the files I filmed with my steady camera, it’s DJI steady for the smartphone, all videos or pictures taken with it are not possible to “move to main archive”, I checked them, the metadata is showing up, so I’m not sure what is the problem:

    Miklos I can see there is an error in the logs. This could be one of the reasons. I guess I already have crash reports with this error so it will be fixed in the next release.

    Also, when it comes to videos, it takes a while to create thumbnail for it. Is it possible that program is just busy processing videos?

    Also, the metadata you show here is obviosly not from a video, and not even from DJI. Could it be that this is actually not correct medatata, but correct metadata cannot be shown due to some error accessing the file?

      the DJI is just an app and holder, but the camera is from the iPhone itself, so it should be fine. I just manually moved those files into correct folders, but still not sure what was wrong. I also tried while it was ready state, and nothing processed.

        Going back to issue. Am I right that now you have identidied few files that cannot be moved by F6 and this error ican be consitenly reproduced? If yes, can you please send me those files for testing to support@tonfotos.com?
