Miklos this topic is still open for debates. We are collecting information from users about their preferred folder structure. However so far the leading requirement is to somehow add event names to the folders apart from just dates. Not so much people are asking about just months as folders. But again, we are still collecting information, thank you for sharing your idea.

Andrey to be honest while playing with the SW I’ve found the way I want to do it, I didn’t know I can choose location(Filter by location or Event), then select the photos I need and move/or copy them into the folder I want with Date format inside…, anyway, even without the function I want I still can do it other way around. of course having some more options in the drop down menu, where you choose the sorting or folder format would be also great

It is not an easy answer, maybe multipe tags or labels is required to organise photos, rather than folder structure.

By people (face recognition)
By event (user defined group, eg friend’s wedding, family travel , etc)
By date (created , modified)
By location (GPS)
By format (raw, jpg, video, etc)
