This would be really helpful to immediately see the context of a face when in face-thumbnail mode (see screenshot)

dimjon Thank you for suggestion. Can you clarify why it is better than thumbnail itself? And if you need bigger picture you can always open it, no?

My scenario is this: I have the main part of the UI on Faces thumbnails. Now I get a lot of obscure face-thumbnails that I need the context for in order to distinguish who this might be - especially with photos of little kids that I sometimes find hard to tell apart. 😆
So it’s fair enough that the software has a hard time too, and it makes mistakes. In order to find out if the face suggestion is correct, I need to see the context of the whole picture. Yes, I could open the photo, check it out and then go back again, but this is time consuming if I have to do this with a lot of pictures. If I can just check out the whole picture in the info-column, it would be MUCH quicker.

My pleasure. By the way - thank you very much for this great tool! I suggest these things not as critizism, but because I already love tonfotos after only using it for some days, and I feel it could improve even further with some user-feedback. 🤗

I had a similar thought today while using the People view. I initially thought that a pop-up of the whole thumbnail while hovering over the face would be good. But, this may cause inadvertently triggering of the pop-ups whenever the mouse stops moving! So, I think dimjon’s idea would be better. Also, no criticism from me, just trying to contribute. A happy customer.

      Cheers

Hi, just want to reiterate on this… I would still consider this a really valuable addition. 😉

dimjon So far only one more person supported that idea, that is why it is hard to prioritise this feature…

Well, make it three. I always open the full photo to see the context of a face when assigning faces. This would be helpful in a way that i can see the context in at a glance. And the space on the screen currently is not filled whit other information.
