People icon page is empty

I have been evaluating the free version of tonfotos. Initially it looked good. I was mostly interested in face recognition and places. It showed faces, greyed out some of people, which was probably due to the free version limitation.
However, the next day, the peoples’ display became empty. There is still the list of people on the left, but there not a single face icon is displayed. Moreover, the picture info does not provide any hint about detected faces and there is no way to manually mark faces.

I did re-install the tool and did rescan the folder. Nothing changed.

Looks like some kind of a bug which prevents me from adoption of the full version.
Any idea?

serge I am sorry to hear you are experiencing issues with the software. What you describe sounds odd, I don’t think some one else reported anything similar, so it is hard to say what exactly is happening. Can you please attach a screenshot to illustrate the issue? Is there any change when you select not grayed people in the navigation panel on the left?

I tried to select names either grayed out or not but with the same effect. The screenshot is attached.

serge Thank you for screenshot, now I can see what you mean. As you can guess, this does not seem to be a frequent problem, otherwise there would be many reports like that on this forum, but this is the first one of this kind. That’s why it is really hard to say what is going wrong there, we need to dig deeper. There is a chance that we might understand what is going wrong using logs: https://community.tonfotos.com/d/26-making-debug-logs-in-tonfotos
This is not guaranteed, but worth trying.
