How to Exclude Desktop and Download folders

Hello, I’ve just downloaded today. I keep all my photos in one consolidated folder (not labelled photos, etc). I have been able to include this folder for processing and I have excluded some that have been “auto selected” (my terminology). However, I cannot find a way to exclude the Desktop and Download Folders. Right clicking on them doesn’t give me that option. Can you help please? Cheers.

paulep using right click you can exclude subfolders, but root folders should be excluded in the “Library Locations…” dialog. You can can open this dialog using main menu of the application. Then select location you want to exclude and then press “-” button bellow as shown on the picture.
