When following instruction to configure updates on Linux I got
W: Conflicting distribution: https://tonfotos.com/distribution/tonfotos/release/linux/debian binary/ InRelease (expected binary/ but got debian)
When trying to run already installed program (it appeared to be version 1.6.5) the window after a moment went blank I got a lot of messages
Error sending from webFrameMain: Error: Render frame was disposed before WebFrameMain could be accessed
The fresh install of 1.6.7 haven’t solved the problem, the program is still not usable.
The problem is with the user inteface, the scanning seem to go in the backround, as I got messages like this

Janusz Not sure I understand. Previously program worked, but had issues with very large folder. Now you configured autoupdate and is stopped working completely?

Good news is the program now seems to work, but it is installed from the downloaded deb package. The bad news that your autoupdate instruction gives a warning about conflicting distribution so I’m afraid the autoupdate will not work.

Janusz thank you for reporting this, I will need to look into that.

Andrey Yesterday the program has been automatically updated to the new version. So the configuration works despite the confusing warning.

Janusz Thanks for letting me know! What Linux distribution you are on?

dallean The same problem… Ubuntu 22.04.3…

Can you please be more specific?

Yes, sorry, just accidentally found that thread and understood, that I have the same message as in the first post:

W: Conflicting distribution: https://tonfotos.com/distribution/tonfotos/release/linux/debian binary/ InRelease (expected binary/ but got debian)

So decided to give feedback, that this error is “not alone” 😅

I use tonfotos on Ubuntu 22.04.3

              Hi
New customer from yesterday. App worked fine, I jumped to the folder view and now I get the above mentioned error. App is unusable.
Running Kubuntu. Is there a way to reset where the app starts up? The people menu worked fine.

So after purging twice tonfoto’s (first time failed as I had my terminal on /usr/lib/tonfotos), I reinstalled it and… tada: it works again.
protip for newbies like myself: you don’t lose any data as everything is put in the .tonfotos.ini files in the picture folders.

And it’s back. Clicked on “go to photo” link, which lands in the folder of these pictures and blank screen with the above mentioned errors in console… something is not right here. App completely unusable and my little purge/reinstall doesn’t work any more.
Is there a command on console to reset the interface?

hieronymousch Sorry to hear that. Sounds like general incompatibility of Electron framework with your particular system. Maybe some libraries or drivers are just not compatible, really hard to know. There’s very little we can do here, unfortunately.

Well, that’s too bad. It works great when it works. I’m running a vanilla kubuntu setup so I feel it should work. Other electron apps work without any issues. Could this be linked to multi monitor setup? I get popups on the wrong screen.

I guess there is only one one way to know for sure - temporarily unplug second monitor and check.
