The location of Main archive on an external drive?

Looks like it’s impossible to change the location of the Main archive. It is a Debian or Linux specific problem which affects all menu of this type, e.g. the interface language, on Windows they work correctly. Is this a bug or I’m doing something stupid?

Janusz Not sure I understand what you mean. Managing locations is done with “Library locations” menu. Is there any problem with that on your Linux installation?

“Library locations” allow to change library locations :-) “Photo” -> “Move to Main archive F6” opens the window “Import options” with two drop-down menus (not sure this is the right English name), i.e. “Destination” and “Folders structure”. Looks like the all drop-down menus don’t work here on Debian.
I’m not sure it is relevant but on the console I see

Can you please be a bit more specific. What exactly you mean by “don’t work”? Can you please share a screen shot?

Andrey Fortunately the problem does not occur today! Looks like rebooting the computer helped. I ordered an external HD which I will receive tomorrow and try to place the Main archive on it. We will see whether the problem will return.
An addition: I was too optimistic, the problem haven’t vanished completely. I managed to change “Time per slide”, but"Destination" in “Import options” quite often shows only “Pictures”. I can live with it and I hope that in time I will find some logic governing this behaviour.
P.S. I experimented with several photos management programs including QuMagie on QNAP NAS and I found your program best suiting my needs. Thank you!
