Is there a way to exclude certain file types, for example .gif
or exclude by size for example images less than 100k

There should be a right click feature to also exclude pictures in some directories with the above options
Exclude from Folder

biox no, this function is not implemented. Can you please explain what is the purpose of that function?

I have it scanning my computer and i have many graphic apps that have all these images, and it takes forever to find a picture among them - some of these small images also have a very old date to them - https://prnt.sc/iEq9ofpMbToJ

biox wow, so you scan your whole computer, not just specific folders with photos? In that case, I don’t think that filtering certain file types would improve situation much. There still will be huge amount of folders that would take forever to scan.

I would suggest alternative approach - just exclude specific folders from your scan if you don’t need them in your index. That will not only give you more control over what you see and what you don’t, but also will speed up regular rescan significatnly.

well its not the purpose of why i purchased the application - I wanted to find all the photos scattered all over my many locations (and to note - it found many photos i couldn’t find)- why didn’t i think of putting all photos in one directory for the past 10 year??? i should get a refund then since its not for disorganized people.

    a year later

I have the same request - to exclude file types, but for a different reason.
I shoot my images in duplicates both in RAW (.NEF) and JPG formats.
The RAW format takes a long time to scan, I’d like to exclude these from the scanning, even though they are in the same folders.
