Error Message: A JaaScript error occurred in the main process. Uncaught Exception: Error: External buffers are not allowed.
I received this message on a windows10 machine on two different users, uninstalled and reinstalled, then installed on a different windows10 computer with same error.
This error happens when I import from an iphone to the main drive, and has happened from three iPhones of three OSs.
On my last attempt on a brand new install I removed all folders to scan from so the application had no pictures in it. I started the import importing only including back to Jan 1, 2026 with no dups checkmarked and received no error message. I then set the date back one month to import only from Dec 1, 2025 and received the error.
UPDATE: I’d also like to note that Tonfotos has not crashed as the indicator at the bottom of the screen continues to add hours to the time for import and it is on a .mov file. I do not know how to find that specific file on my phone though to verify the file.
PS UPDATE: I quit out of Tonfotos and had to End Task in Task Manager. Launching Tonfotos again, I started an import adding in just one day, Dec 31st. Same crash and same error message but this time on a .jpg.
