Stig I moved this out to separate thread as obviously this is not the same problem.
Based on logs you quote, your CUDA is not functioning stable. That could be due to hardware issues, oveheating, outdated drivers or god knows what else. If that is actually causing issues, then I would just suggest to uninstall Tonfotos CUDA plugin to revert all facial recognition back to CPU, which has proved to be very reliable.
Stig Is tonfotos scanning all the folder every time we startup the applications ?
It does and and it is necessary to make sure your index is up-to-date. All sorts of bad things can happen if it will be out of sync, especially if you are dealing with duplicates. However, this process is very fast. My 1TB archive takes only 6 minutes to scan at program start, and this is all over the network. Local archive will be even faster.

This is totally different thing, not related to scanning. Since program crashed, facial description cache crashed too and program is recreating it from database. When program closes normally it will be just saved to disk and then read again after start, but that can’t happen if program crashes. So it needs to be recreated. All your actions with faces require this index to be available.
