config.json. It does not matter to me that its been less information in this file. But always nice to have a way to confirm what Tonfotos is reading. I understand this is not for normal user, but it seems to me that when this information is written down, tonfotos works better (faster?) when it knows all the folders.. but I’m just guessing..
Keeping one dossier for all folders is fine by me, but then if there was a way to “expand” the one-folder, and be able to select/deselect face recon on different folders would be nice because I have folders with alot of faces, concerts and fotball matches etc.. I dont want all these faces to be “suggested”.. I only want to handpick the faces I want.
So a feature to look for “only these faces in this folder” would be good.
(and I know about the CTRL+A and CTRL+I do ignore all faces on all photos in a folder - it works)
Reson for me wanting to disable faces is that the system scans faces without my control.
There are two main reasons, and I feel like this is very important:
1.)
I would like the system to scan all faces in one folder.
Then I would sort all faces.
Then enable scanning next folder.
Then I would sort all faces.
And so on..
2.)
This would make the program more stable to work with when I’m adding text/comments to images.
Moving images around with CTRL+M.
Then I know “all cpu” is been used to the process that I want it too…
I think this would benefit more people to that they can have more control without having “random” face suggestions when they use the program (but I get the idea of the program running smoothly with tasks in the background getting/collection information to present to the user, but it also takes cpu from scrolling between pictures or editing metadata).
I know this problem is because my collections is large, and probably that is why the program is “doing things in the background all the time”.. More control, please 😀
