Ignores some persons

I have many people classified with facial recognition and I would like to delete some of them and make TonFotos ignore these faces permanently and not suggest them again. Would it be enough to delete the people using the corresponding option in the people tab? Once this person has been deleted, would the program ask again who this person is? Or would it ignore those faces permanently? How should I do it? Thank you.

Pedroz Deleting the person does not delete its faces from the database. So you probably should first delete all faces of that person (using ignore command) and only then delete the person itself.

However, even after that there could be some other faces of that person in your archive, that were not confirimed yet, and those faces will still remain until you delete them.

Thank you for your prompt reply. I have looked but cannot find any command called “Ignore.” Could you tell me where that command is?

When I select one or more faces, right-clicking brings up a context menu with the option “No face here.” Could this be the equivalent of the ignore command? In this case, if I choose this option and there are other faces in the same photo, I understand that the program would detect those other faces. In other words, using the “No face here” command would only refer to the specific area of the photo, and the rest of the faces in the photo would be identified. Is that correct?

Please invest 30 minutes of your time watching the video about facial recogntion, this will guide you thru the whole process and explain all the basics, including this one.

I know I might get abit of “no-no” here… but.
Deleting faces -and a new almost identical face pops-up as a suggestion is a “hmmf…”

I’m trying to find “a workaround” for this. But this method only works if you have 100-1000 maybe faces identified.
So when you have found all those faces you want, I made a
AA_Unknown_face (people looking away from the camera or straight into it, but I dont want to keep deleting them)
AA-Unknown_blurry (photos that are really blurry but identified as faces)

I know put all faces that I do not want into AA_Unknown_face
and all the other really blurry “face” photos I put into AA_Unknown_blurry

Reason for AA - is that its always on the top of the name list ( hence I really like to be able to set F1-F12 shortkeys).

So long, 200k photos and still finding new faces every day… (an indicator for when all faces in a folder has been assigned would be nice 🙂)
