Masonry View in the main program

Hello,

While the program works efficiently and has all the needed features for managing a photo library, I just miss the masonry layout in the main program.

Here’s an example of what I’m talking about:

Will it be possible for the devs to consider this idea? I will respect their decision either way and still grateful for the great program.

ceo54 Currently I don’t see how that would fit into current program UI paradigm. Photo feed currently is not just view of thumbnails, this is also actionable list, where you can select and do things with photos and faces. I don’t say it would be completely impossible in masonry layout, but that would be completely different experience for users. For example, selecting several photos in a row would be real challenge.

Well, nothing is impossible ofcourse, but I see lots of challenges and I am not really sure added value worth it. Though I am interested to hear what other users have to say on the subject.

Thank you for the response Mr Andrey.

Program works fine as it is with only exception being the quick view that we already have a thread opened for. This particular request is for an incremental feature that would modernize the program. Of couse everyone will not prefer it, some will like that way, some won’t. This is the reason, I request you to implore the possibility to add this feature as optional view so users can toggle this view on/off based on their preference.

Thank you for considering my request. I just have one more request, I’ll soon create a thread for. I hope you wont mind that.

Interesting vew to be able to move around layout, would be nice to customize it.
But I would prefer easier to work with photos with use of more keyboard shortcuts and better handling of the db withtout to rescan folders is my biggest hopes.
