The version is now available for download on Windows and Mac. If automatic updates are enabled, the update will be installed automatically on Windows and macOS. We apologize for the delay in publishing updates for Linux.
New features
PSD format support
PSD is an Adobe Photoshop project format. Professional photographers often use this editor to process their photos and would like to be able to quickly search and recognize faces in them.
In addition to viewing photos themselves, Tonfotos also reads Exif and XMP metadata from PSD files. However, the current version cannot yet record changes. Whether this is required is still an open question. It’s also unclear whether metadata should be written internally or as a sidecar for better compatibility with other programs. Therefore, we are releasing support in its current form for now and will continue to monitor feedback.
Filter “Without geotag”
Again, by popular demand, we’ve added a filter that lets you select all files without a geotag. This can be combined with the folder filter to tidy up your archive folder by folder.
