Renaming / Moving indexed folder & Screenshot Metadata

Just finished my initial index of my entire downloaded Google Takeout and loving Tonfotos. Initial index took a long time (about 14 hours!), but it was 200GB of photos and videos, so understandable. Now I’ve got 2 questions:

Am I able to rename / move the indexed folder to another location. For example, on my external hard drive it’s structured as 1 (Root) - Folder 2 (Folder) - Folder 3 (Subfolder of Folder 2). Folder 3 is the indexed folder in Tonfotos which houses all of my photos in Year/Month subfolders. I now want to move Folder 3 to 1 (Root of the drive) and rename it to Folder 24. If I move / rename it and point Tonfotos to the new Library location - will it have to do the full, long re-index again - even if the contents are the exact same?
I’ve just copied some screenshots taken the other day from my Android Phone (Xiaomi 14T Pro running HyperOS 2) into the indexed folder in the external hard drive. They imported into Tonfotos perfectly, but they’re showing up as being taken today. Is there a way to get it to show in the original date that it was screenshotted?

James Thank you for good words about Tonfotos!

This is possible to do without reindex. If you close Tonfotos, move root folder where you want it to be, then start Tonfotos, it will detect its absence. Then in the Library locations dialog you will be able to update its location, there will be an option on the right when you select your folder.
If date is incorrect that means your screenshot utility did not write down actual date into file metadata, that is why Tonfotos has to rely on file attribute, which is apparently time of copying. If date is missing, you cannot restore it. But you can set it again manually. You can use F3 function for that. More about it here: https://tonfotos.com/docs/metadata/#date
