First of all, please make sure you have the latest version of Tonfotos. At the moment, the current one is 0.9.11-beta.1089
It’s normal that you don’t see anything right away in the “People” section. Only those persons who are added to database will appear in this section. At the very beginning, the program does not know anyone.
To add people to database, you need to open the “file information” section on the photo with people of interest. There you will see recognized faces in the form of round portraits with question signs. By right-clicking on a specific portrait, select “This is …” and “New Person” from the drop-down menu. Enter the name of this person. After that, the program will automatically begin to offer for confirmation new faces from other photos that are similar to this person.
A similar operation needs to be done for each person you would like to add to the database.
