Boolean search please:)

Hi Tonfotos team,
First of all…thanks for a great product! I’m really enjoying its elegance and simplicity and nice UI🙂
I do need to add my voice/2cents… to the already-expressed-by-others desire for simple Boolean seach functionality. (I know about Tonfotos filters.)
Boolean search can be super simple. When I use the widely-used photo tool made by that G-company…
I can just type as follows in the search box:
Bill + Jim + Mary - Bob - Henry
And bingo! The tool, with the 1 search command above, shows photos with Bill, Jim, and Mary…but NOT with Bob or Henry.
SUPER DUPER useful🙂
For folks like myself who have photo databases of multiple thousands or even tens of thousands of images, Boolean search is easier, quicker, and an overall cleaner UX than setting multiple filters.

Walden Thank you very much for your feedback! As you noted, Tonfotos has nice and simple UI. And this is not a coincedence, this is intentional. And to achieve that we have sometimes to do sacrifices. The way filters are implemented is because we belive this is much easier to master for majority of users that magic words in search request, but provide practically the same functionality. Sure there is always a room for improvement, there is no doubt in that. However, we alway try to chose the way to implement soomething that would be easy to understand for majority of users. For some people using command line is fastest way to achieve result, but majority prefer to click with a mouse on icons.
