Frequent Crashing

I have been using the latest version of Tonfotos and am loving the metadata auto-embed feature for naming faces. However, after a Windows reinstall (Windows was corrupted) I have experienced frequent crashing of Tonfotos while rescanning my 200,000+ images for faces. When I restart, it comes up where I left off and apparently I don’t lose anything except the inconvenience of restarting the app. The conditions when it happens are when I have at least one other photo editor (On1 Photoraw and/or ACDSee) running at the same time. So, I suspect there is a correlation there.
I am just sharing this experience for your information - I am not expecting any special attention. Thanks, Donny

Donny Thank you for sharing! I would suggest you to turn on the logs and inspect them after each crash. That might shed some light on what exactly is going on (just look what are most recent error messages before crash). I’ve also encountered crash. Just have to restart the application.
My thing is that the program has been running for weeks, yes.. and from time to time the program crashes.
Would it be possible to enable a restart function, or a service we could install that checks that the program is running ?

Stig Well that would mean we accept crashes as part of normal behaviour. I still hope we can actually fix them…

Ah I just meant that a good workaround, is to have a feature to restarts the app - while we all help with information about why this happens. Actually fix them is the goal of course. I love the program, just want to help 🙂.
