Mark-Reynolds1 All edits in metdata are immediately saved into files, so any other program that can read image metdata will pick it up. There is no special command like “push metadata to disk” as in Lightroom for example, Tonfotos writes it right away.
As to faces and people - by default this data is not written for perfomance reasons, but you can cat turn it on, here is how: https://community.tonfotos.com/d/535-version-1105-saving-person-data-in-xmp After that you will need to close Tonfotos, open it up again to force reindex of all your files, and then wait for it to finish. It can take a while since it will actually will rewrite every affected file.
