Show that an image is on an external drive

I double-clicked on a person’s face and was shown a low-res image, because the image was on an external drive that wasn’t connected.

I then had to double-click the picture to get back to the face again.

It would be useful to have the option of showing that the face was related to an offline picture, to save double-clicking there and back. So, not something that is necessarily always there - you can flick the option on/off.

This is just an annoyance- and time-saving feature.

greyilocks We already have something for that purpose in Folders section, as you probably noticed already. The disconnected folder will become slightly dimmer. However, I am not sure what visual language we can use is People section. If you have any ideas - please share.

Ah, yes, I can see the folder name is dimmed.

How about a small USB logo over part of the image if it’s on a disconnected drive? That’s what I get when I double-click on the image. Just something that would tell me I’d be wasting my time unless I connected the disk. If all my images are on the external drive, it would be obvious, but I do have some on the local machine. I guess it depends on how many I store locally. Hmmm.

I’ll leave it with you, it’s probably not as clearcut as I’d thought.
