Photo Processing + People View - Collapse option

Hi Tonfotos community.
I would firstly like to say thank you for creating such a wonderul product. I tried the free version and have now purchased 5 licences.

I’m making a comparison to Mylio, which I also trialled but I wasn’t keen on the subscription based purchase.

1) I have circa 175,000 photos and 20,000 videos that I’m processing at the moment. The software is becoming more clogged and slow to respond, I find it slows my system down and I have to restart every so often to regain the speed. This didn’t seem to be an issue with the other software I trialled, is there a way of throttling the processing or pausing it when the user is going through the photos?

2) The People view is where I spend most of my time at the moment, tagging photos and the facial recognition is very good. However, I don’t want the list to fully expanded whereby one persons photos end and the others begin. It would be nice to have a collapsed view and only expand the group that is required, this should also save on processing power? It will certainly make life easier for me by having a larger navigation bar on the side, at the moment it is tiny due to the sheer number of photos overall, albeit each person has around 3,000 photos

1) This is not typical, program is capable of dealing with quite large archives, larger than yours. It would help if you could share a bit more details on how to reproduce this slowdown, step by step. We will be happy to deal with this issue.

2) This view behaves the same way like other views in the application, they all are build with the same approach. What you suggest is basically to redisign whole applicaiton UI completely only becaus it is different from other applicaitons. Just please give yourself a time and you will get used to it.

Hi Andrey, thank you for the prompt response.
We’re using the software on two different computers, one of us with 40,000 photos and the other with 175,000. I have found that once the initial scann is completed, the software is a lot more responsive. So we’ll have to wait for the scan to complete.

I appreciate your point on number 2. I have watched your youtube videos and discovered how to create groups for people, which I can collapse and expand as required, so this will suit me.

While I have your attention, is there anyway of applying a filter on the people view? What I’m trying to achieve is to filter photos where both my mum and dad are withn the photo.

Have you seen the video about search function? It explains how to do exactly that (among other things).
