Would be nice to have a function in the app to rename the image files without having to locate the file in explorer.

Also, when pressing show in explorer the file is not selected in the opened window.. This is possible with the windows api but not taken advantage of.

When selecting multiple files it would be nice to be able to prepend or append a common text to all the selected files.

like adding “summer trip 2025” to all the selected filenames

I think I will need more details on that. I trying it right now - and file is selected. Can you please provide step-by-step instruction how to reproduce the issue?

it works if focusing the photo before rightclicking to select “show in file explorer” (but it does not work every time. most of the time)

if i go straight for the right click, the file is not selected ever.

svefro I am trying really hard but still can’t reproduce. If you click not in the photo, then there is no menu. If you click on the photo, then it gets selected and then shown in explorer. What I am doing wrong?

it looks like if the folder it opens contains a lot of files. and takes a sec to display. The photo is not selected.
If selecting show in file explorer again, it is selected

Are you using “SHOpenFolderAndSelectItems ” or explorer “/select” argument?

Well, that proves this is Exporer issue, not Tonfotos.

I also advocate for the option to rename files, but especially for the ability to rename directories directly in Tonfotos. I was used to this in the program Picasa, but when I use Tonfotos, I have to open Windows Explorer and rename the directory there, which isn’t very convenient.
