readbofm This is good question that does not have simple answer. Let me try explain how this works.
Unfortunately, face recognition technology is far from perfect. Not just in Tonfotos, but in general, there are still no technology that would deal 100% correct with all the low lighting small resoluiton partially obscured faces who do not even look in to the camera. It is just not possible, even humans fail a lot in siimilar conditions.
That is why it is just impossible for the program to correctly find all the faces of the person in your collection just after you shown it few examples. That is why program is using iterative approach. It calculates suggestions many times based on the information you provided to in. And the more information you provided, the more it can find and suggest. So while you continue providing it more information (by accepting and rejecting), it will continue calcilating new suggestions for you.
However, it can happen that program might run out of the ideas at some point and cannot suggest you any more for that person. However, it does not mean that there are no more photos of that peroson, only that there are no more photos that look similar to ones you already confirmed. But there could be more wearing sunglasses, or in different age. In that case you will need to manually show program some new examples of that person, this will give the program some new food for thought.
I hope this gives you some information about the process, and at least partially answers your question.
